…issued a Notice of Public Rulemaking on July 14, 2010, “ Modifications to the HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Enforcement Rules Under the Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health Act”

…withdrew the breach notification final rule it had submitted on May 14, 2010 from OMB review citing it as a “complex issue”
