We experienced a hard disk failure and data loss event on Wednesday, July 1, 2009 just days before the 4^th of July holiday. Thank goodness our server had some redundant backup capabilities and we were able to retrieve some, but not all of our data. This data loss event caused heightened alarm and concern since we rely completely on our eClinicalWorks EMR solution.
